Just ran you guys through the upcoming Audi R8 from ABT tuners and if that left you excited this one which take you further on that exhilarating attitude. Remember the first CTR from the late 80’s; well if you are a committed auto geek, you surely will for it overpowered the best super cars of that era .
CTR 3, the third generation model of the CTR series has been officially announced by RUF. Although it took a long time coming; third model in twenty years, but it was worth the wait if the end is as good as the description.
The CT3 is based on the Porsche Cayman and when out, it will be one of the fastest Porsches available for purchase. It is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat six-engine which boasts of an unbelievable 700 horses at 7,000 rpm and 890 Nm of topping Torque.
The configuration is good enough to challenge any genuine sports car especially when the top speed is 360km/hr backed up by a seven-speed gear transmission.
Such credentials are matched by an equally good exterior which has been developed using several unique body panels made from lightweight aluminum and carbon-fiber as well as a new trellis tubing space frame , a constituent which could be seen in usage in more super cars .
The seven-gear part is what stuns me the most: for a car, which can pelt at such amazing speed, the success rate of the speed integration through seven gears could be a tough ask. What could be even more tougher is to pay 3,000,000 Euro for it.
